School front cover

My finished front cover of my school magazine, 'Hampstead Hype', aimed at everyone in Hampstead school including the parents of students. It includes; the red and black colour scheme of Hampstead school, this is shown through the red border that surrounds the page and the black font of all text on the page. The front cover also includes the issue number and date of release in full; these two features are placed in the bottom right hand corner this is so that they don't detract from the main image of the new school building in the background. The main image in the background is a long-shot of the new school building, i have used this image because it represents the school as an advanced, nice to look at, structurally developed place to be. The front cover also has the school website on it, this is included because i think it is important that the magazine and website are both recognised as an external source of information to the school and that both the website and the magazine work in conjunction with eachother. Also featured on the front cover is a Latin quote, 'faber est quisque fortunae suae' meaning, 'every man is the architect of his own fortune'. I have included this quote on the front cover of the school magazine because I wanted a feature on the front cover to show the history of the school, whilst the image connotes the future of the school. This quote also works as an inspirational motto for the school. The title of the school magazine is 'Hampstead Hype', i thought it was important to have the word Hampstead in the title of the magazine so that the magazine does not seem separate form the school and the word 'Hype' was chosen because of its connotations with news, suggesting that this magazine will be up to date with all the latest news.
